“I have always had a passion for art and being creative from the time a grew up in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. Drawing to me was always second nature, while the optical business was the family business. My dad was an OD, who taught my brothers and me the industry as we grew up. It’s in my blood, and something I still share with my two older brothers.

Drawing eyeglasses was just something I could always do, and love trying to push the boundaries of what could be done while also drawing inspiration from the past. All the while never losing sight that glasses need to fit. That heritage optical background made fit a “must have”.

This describes the passion that has been driving me the last 30+ years to design my own collection of eyeglasses. What sets me apart is starting out with pencil and paper. Then I personally oversee the careful selection of materials and the quality craftsmanship that goes into each frame.

I’ve been lucky to follow my passion and have the ability to do it as a true independent. After all, I get to see my creative efforts being worn on people’s faces…and frankly there is nothing more rewarding than that.
